| HOW WE SERVE |
- The financial services of Wadsworth FISH are provided only to Wadsworth (Ohio)
and Wadsworth Township residents. Wadsworth FISH has helped our clients in
emergency and short-term financial distress with monies for the following
services,including, but not limited to:
- Marian's Closet
- Wadsworth Community and Youth Gardens
- faith food project
There are no income qualifications for assistance. Checks are sent directly to
the providers of the client requests (i.e., landlord, grocery store, utility company,
etc.). All financial assistance is conducted by voice mail (donated by our local
City Hall). All calls are monitored by the Executive Director (and volunteers) and
are returned the same or next business day. We have no office location and all
persons associated with FISH are volunteers.
We are proud to work with many other agencies and organizations in the
Wadsworth, Barberton, Akron, Medina, Wooster and Cuyahoga Falls areas to
which we are able to direct our clients in meeting such other needs as obtaining
clothing, appliances, additional funds for emergency needs, food banks, minor
repairs, and so on. If we cannot assist you directly with your need, we can direct
you to another agency or organization that will work with you further.
Wadsworth FISH is proud to help hundreds of households in Wadsworth and
Wadsworth Township with financial assistance. We help numerous other
neighbors in need in 35 surrounding zip code areas through our other outreach
efforts. Wadsworth FISH is an all-volunteer organization. We have no paid staff
and no overhead, so that 100% of our income for Wadsworth FISH is disbursed
to meet our clients' financial needs.
